about

As 2016 draws to a close, we're closing out our singles project with "Concrete Heat," a cruiser of a dance track that celebrates the warehouse spaces and DIY communities that have expanded our minds, enlarged our hearts, and welcomed us time and time again. Thank you all so much for joining us this year! We hope you continue to support independent music communities for years to come.

Track Name: Concrete Heat (Vocal Mix)
We are erasing
All our faults
here in this basement
These unknown places
Have us feeling
Safe and faithless

We are erasing
All our faults
here in this basement
These unknown places
Have us feeling
Safe and faithless

We built these spaces
And the people
Loved and saved us
Through conversations
Over room-shaking
Sub-basses

We built these spaces
And the people
Loved and saved us
Through conversations
Over room-shaking
Sub-basses

It will always follow me
This concrete heat
Building a community
Beneath the street
Healthy times forever be
In my heartbeat
And the love that we made is the thing
And the love that we made is the thing

You know they don’t bother me
Those unmarked doors
Forty-fives and LPs
The cry and roar
Ten act bills, six-hour shows
Smoke all night, wake up hoarse
And I'm never quite sure what it means
Oh I know, oh I know what it means

We are erasing
All our faults
here in this basement
These unknown places
Have us feeling
Safe and faithless

We are erasing
All our faults
here in this basement
These unknown places
Have us feeling
Safe and faithless

We built these spaces
And the people
Loved and saved us
Through conversations
Over room-shaking
Sub-basses

It will always follow me
This concrete heat
Building a community
Beneath the street
Healthy times forever be
In my heartbeat
And the love that we made is the thing
And the love that we made is the thing
