about

"Dark Water" is a song about the snares of entropy and the release that hides within retreat. Its massive bass is an unrelenting riptide. It feels good to slip into this darkness. Piercing melodies, dripping in red and blue, keep puncturing the murk. But there's endless mud outside of this bog… good luck finding your way out.

lyrics

I remember saying
You gotta stay more open
It's so easy
To get myopic
It feels good
So you avoid it
It feels good
So you're retreating
So all that's left is
Little moments
In little rooms
For you to keep them

These days all I want to do is watch dark water grow on the ceiling
These days all I want to do is watch dark water grow on the ceiling
These days all I want to do is watch dark water grow on the ceiling

Haven't made a friend in weeks
I'm shocked that you stuck around
I'm afraid of what you think
With my doldrums spinning out
I don't want to be awake
It's not your fault I let you down
Down down down down down, down, down

You need
Someone
Who needs
You need
To believe
Or you can't speak
It feels good
So I avoid it
It feels good
So I'm retreating
So all that's left is
Little moments
And a cave
For me to sleep in

These days all I want to do is watch dark water fall from the ceiling
These days all I want to do is watch dark water fall from the ceiling
These days all I want to do is watch dark water fall from the ceiling
These days all I want to do is watch dark water fall from the ceiling
